I have been with Shane Deckle State Farm since back around 2011, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Even though I don't live in Athens anymore, they are totally worth keeping.

Over the years I have had to work with them a few times due to faults from other drivers, and they have always taken great care of me. They have also called out things that my policy is missing and could benefit from, without having to spend much extra. Today they made adding a new vehicle completely seamless and answered all my questions without any hassle.

Misty is always looking out for me, making sure I get the best rates and solid advice on coverages for cars, motorcycles, and the house.

Tucker is the agent i worked with today and he really knew his stuff. Highly recommend getting some of his time.

"I wanted to share my recent experience with State Farm after having to file an insurance claim, from someone hitting my car in the parking lot.

I spoke with Camille, she filed a claim on my behalf. In less than 30 minutes. I had a text from both enterprise rental car company and the autobody shop that I would be using. They allowed me to call them directly. I will pay my Deductible directly to the auto body company. Camille was absolutely amazing! It was one of the most smooth, efficient experiences I’ve ever had with a business! So thankful for their kindness and expertise!"

"The team at Shane's office is great. Only issue I have is that I have been waiting for approval for a windshield replacement for 14 days. I know it is out of their hands. This is a corporate issue. However, it should not take over 2 weeks to get a new windsheild. Shane's team did all they could and as of 8/5/2026 my windshield is replaced. The team walked me through the whole process calling and making sure all went well. I really appreciate Shane's office and the follow up. 5 stars"
